Enrollment of the SAGIP Tutorials Program

On June 23, 2018, St. Michael’s College of Iligan, Inc., through the SAGIP Tutorials Program, formally conducted the enrollment of pupils for the First Semester of School Year 2018–2019. The activity marked the official start of another cycle of academic support aimed at assisting young learners in strengthening their foundational skills.

The enrollees were composed of Grade One to Grade Six pupils, reflecting the program’s inclusive approach to addressing learning needs across various elementary levels. During the enrollment, pupils were carefully grouped according to their academic level, ensuring that instruction would be developmentally appropriate and responsive to their specific learning needs.

Student volunteers from the College of Education were assigned to each group, fostering a supportive learning environment grounded in mentorship, patience, and guided instruction. This pairing not only provided pupils with focused academic assistance but also allowed future educators to apply pedagogical theories in real classroom settings, reinforcing the values of service, excellence, and compassion.

The enrollment activity underscored the SAGIP Tutorials Program’s commitment to quality education and inclusive learning, serving as a bridge between higher education and the community. By nurturing young learners and empowering student volunteers, the program continued to embody St. Michael’s College’s mission of forming socially responsible individuals dedicated to uplifting others through education.
