11th Sandayong sa Gugma 2025: Where Compassion Meets Service

Held on December 13, 2025, at the St. Joseph Gymnasium of St. Michael’s College of Iligan, Inc. – Basic Education Department, Sandayong sa Gugma 2025 gathered the Michaelite community in a heartfelt celebration of compassion and solidarity. This annual initiative honored the everyday heroes of the adopted community—street sweepers, construction workers, and rag makers—whose labor often goes unseen yet remains essential to the life and progress of the city.

Through simple but meaningful acts of service, the event became a space of recognition, gratitude, and shared humanity. The collective efforts of the Basic Education Department, SMCII colleges, faculty and administration, and supportive alumni reflected the institution’s deep commitment to being in service of the “least, the last, and the lost.” More than an outreach activity, Sandayong sa Gugma 2025 affirmed the Michaelite value of compassion in action—uplifting dignity, strengthening community ties, and reminding everyone that service, when done with love, has the power to transform lives.
