On November 20, 2015, St. Michael’s College of Iligan, Inc. (SMCII), through the Mother Ignacia Center for Social Responsibility (MICSR), formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Iligan City, during Academic Year 2015–2016.
The signing of the MOU marked a significant milestone in reinforcing collaborative partnerships aimed at advancing education, community engagement, and social development. Through this agreement, SMCII strengthened its commitment to working closely with partner institutions and community stakeholders in implementing programs that respond to local needs and promote inclusive growth.
The MOU established a framework for shared responsibilities, coordinated initiatives, and sustained cooperation, ensuring that extension and outreach programs are effectively implemented and aligned with both institutional goals and community priorities. It also reinforced the importance of transparency, accountability, and mutual respect in partnership-building.
This activity reflects SMCII’s core values of faith, excellence, and service, emphasizing the institution’s role as a responsible academic partner in community development and public service. By formalizing partnerships, SMCII enhanced its capacity to deliver meaningful, values-driven programs that create long-term social impact.
