On November 4, 2016, St. Michael’s College of Iligan, Inc. (SMCII), through the Mother Ignacia Center for Social Responsibility (MICSR), participated in the DSWD–Region X Partnership Forum held at Bebeth’s Casserole, Baroy, Lanao del Norte, during the First Semester of Academic Year 2016–2017. The forum brought together active partner agencies, livelihood groups, and institutions supporting the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries across the province.
The Partnership Forum served as a platform for dialogue, coordination, and collaboration among stakeholders involved in livelihood development, social services, and capacity-building initiatives. Discussions centered on strengthening support mechanisms for Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries, sharing best practices, and identifying opportunities for joint programs that promote self-sufficiency, resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.
Participation in the forum reaffirmed SMCII’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, highlighting the role of higher education institutions as partners in development. Through MICSR, SMCII expressed its readiness to contribute academic expertise, training support, and extension programs that complement government-led social protection initiatives.
The activity reflects SMCII’s adherence to the core values of faith, excellence, and service, emphasizing solidarity, inclusivity, and shared accountability in uplifting vulnerable sectors. By engaging with government agencies and livelihood partners, the institution strengthened its network and reinforced its role as a catalyst for community empowerment and sustainable development.
Through its participation in the DSWD–Region X Partnership Forum, SMCII strengthened its commitment to collaborative governance and inclusive growth, reinforcing the importance of partnerships in building resilient communities and empowering families toward a more sustainable future.
