On October 12, 2020, the College of Engineering and Computer Studies (CECS) of St. Michael’s College, through the MICSR, visited the Women and Children Center as part of its commitment to community care and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During the visit, the CECS team donated clothes for the children at the center, extending support to those in vulnerable circumstances and contributing to SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by addressing their basic needs and overall welfare.
The team also explored potential initiatives for strengthening the center’s computer literacy efforts, which directly align with SDG 4: Quality Education. By identifying opportunities to support digital skills training, CECS reaffirmed its dedication to equipping children with competencies essential for lifelong learning and future opportunities.
Guided by the spirit of service and inclusivity—supporting SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities—the #CECSySERVANTS visit demonstrated St. Michael’s College’s unwavering commitment to uplifting vulnerable groups and fostering partnerships that create meaningful and sustainable community impact.
