On December 3, 2016, St. Michael’s College of Iligan, Inc. (SMCII), through the Mother Ignacia Center for Social Responsibility (MICSR) and the Graduate School, held a Christmas Party at the SMC Main Campus during the Second Semester of Academic Year 2016–2017. The activity formed part of the continuing implementation of the 2K+1 Program, fostering a spirit of joy, unity, and compassion among program participants and partner communities.
The Christmas Party served as a venue for fellowship, appreciation, and shared celebration, strengthening relationships between the Graduate School, MICSR, and community stakeholders involved in the 2K+1 Program. Through simple yet meaningful activities, the event highlighted the values of generosity, gratitude, and service—central to the institution’s mission of faith, excellence, and service.
Beyond celebration, the activity reinforced the importance of community belonging and social cohesion, especially during the Christmas season. It provided an opportunity to recognize the efforts of partners, volunteers, and participants who actively contributed to the success of the 2K+1 initiatives throughout the year. The gathering also encouraged continued collaboration and commitment to shared goals of community development and social responsibility.
Through this Christmas celebration, SMCII reaffirmed that meaningful community engagement is nurtured not only through programs and training but also through shared moments of joy, appreciation, and human connection, reinforcing the heart of the 2K+1 Program.
