2K+1 Program of the Graduate School and the office of the President

On October 7, 2017, under the program Karunungan at Kasanayan para sa Kabataan, St. Michael’s College, in partnership with the CSWD of Iligan City, conducted a meaningful session for childcare teacher-volunteers. Organized through the Graduate School and supported by the Office of the President, the activity aimed to strengthen the personal and professional well-being of educators who tirelessly serve young children in the community.

S. Ma. Rodina M. Bongoc, RVM, delivered an insightful talk on Work–Life Balance, emphasizing the importance of self-care, emotional wellness, and maintaining a healthy balance between personal responsibilities and professional duties. Childcare teachers participated actively in the workshop she prepared, engaging in reflective exercises that allowed them to better understand their roles and the need to nurture their own well-being. After the presentation, Sister Dina facilitated a processing session, helping the teachers internalize the lessons and connect them to their daily experiences.

This activity highlighted St. Michael’s College’s commitment to supporting community educators by providing programs that uplift, empower, and equip them for both their work and personal life.
