As St. Michael’s College of Iligan, Inc. celebrates the English Month 2025, a meaningful student forum themed “One Language, Many Stories: The Power of Language in Culture, Identity, and Learning” is currently being held at the St. Joseph Gymnasium, SMCII-BED.
The forum underscores the essential role of language—especially within the diverse Philippine context—in shaping identity, strengthening cultural understanding, and deepening appreciation of our nation’s multilingual heritage.
SMCII is honored to welcome Mrs. Paula Kristie B. Pepito, MIH, a fellow Michaelite and respected educator, whose insights have enriched the discussion and inspired students to reflect on the complexities of language, culture, and learning. Her presence reinforces the significance of nurturing communicative competence and cultural awareness among learners in the Basic Education Department.
