On December 1, 2025, six exchange students from Lourdes College Inc., Cagayan de Oro City arrived at St. Michael’s College of Iligan, Inc.–Basic Education Department (SMCII-BEd) for a three-day academic and cultural exchange program. The delegation consists of two students each from the ABM, HUMSS, and STEM strands—one Grade 11 and one Grade 12 representative per strand—accompanied by three specialized-subject teachers.

In the spirit of reciprocal learning and strengthened partnerships, SMCII also sent six Senior High School students and three specialized-subject teachers from the ABM, HUMSS, and STEM strands to Lourdes College to participate in the same immersive three-day exchange experience.

From December 1–3, the Lourdes College students and teachers will be integrated into classes, participate in campus-based activities, and immerse themselves in the academic and cultural environment of St. Michael’s College of Iligan, Inc.

This exchange initiative reflects SMCII’s commitment to:

• SDG 4 (Quality Education): broadening students’ learning experiences through exposure to diverse academic environments;
• SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities): providing equal learning opportunities across schools and cities;
• SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities): strengthening youth engagement and cultural appreciation within the region;
• SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): building strong collaborations with educational institutions for shared growth.

SMCII warmly welcomes the Lourdes College delegates and hopes their visit becomes a meaningful, transformative, and enjoyable experience that strengthens the bond between both learning communities.
