COMPUTER LITERACY and 2K+1 Program

On February 3, 2019, the MICSR–UROCK program, in partnership with the CSWD of Iligan City and the College of Engineering and Computer Studies, continued its commitment to digital empowerment through the Computer Literacy Training held at the St. Michael’s College Computer Laboratory in Iligan City.

During the session, Ms. Leonie Abilay facilitated a comprehensive discussion on Microsoft PowerPoint, equipping childcare teacher-volunteers with practical skills in creating engaging and professional presentations—an essential tool for their teaching and community work. Additionally, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Studies led a session on Microsoft Excel, guiding participants in mastering basic functions and spreadsheet organization to enhance their record-keeping, data management, and curriculum planning.

This initiative strengthened the technological capability of childcare educators, allowing them to better support the learning needs of the children under their care. Through MICSR–UROCK, St. Michael’s College continues to uplift community educators by providing accessible and meaningful training that enhances their competence, confidence, and effectiveness in an increasingly digital world.
