On July 16, 2014, St. Michael’s College of Iligan, through the Mother Ignacia Center for Social Responsibility (MICSR) in collaboration with the College of Criminology and the College of Accountancy, formally presented a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to its Local Government Unit partner of Barangay Santiago, held at the Barangay Hall during the First Semester of SY 2014–2015.

The presentation symbolized a strengthened partnership between the academe and the local government, affirming a shared commitment to community development, civic engagement, and service-oriented education. The MOU established a framework for collaborative programs addressing education, social services, and community safety, ensuring that institutional initiatives remain responsive to grassroots needs.
