DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS TO THE MILITARY IN ILIGAN CITY

On July 7, 2017, the RVM Sisters ,MICSR–DSA–Administration spearheaded the Initiative for Peace and Unity in Iligan City through a widespread distribution of goods to the military and police personnel stationed across the city. Held from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the activity aimed to extend gratitude and support to the men in uniform who played a vital role in safeguarding Iligan during a period of heightened security.

The distribution covered multiple locations, including Camp Pintoy in Suarez; Tipanoy Police Station; PNP Stations 1 (Tambo), 2 (Tubod), and 5 (Poblacion); as well as several strategic checkpoints—NSC, Barangay San Miguel, and Barangay Hinaplanon. The RVM Sisters—S. Rodina, S. Nemia, and S. Tess—led the initiative with the support of SMC-HED and BED administrators, faculty members, and students, embodying the institution’s collective spirit of service and solidarity.

During the activity, the Higher Education Department administrators, RVM Sisters, and College Council distributed vitamins, medicines, snacks, and socks to the military and police personnel. This gesture of appreciation recognized their dedication, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and order in the city. Guided by the compassion of the RVM Sisters, the event strengthened the bonds between St. Michael’s College and the peacekeepers of Iligan, promoting unity, gratitude, and community support.
