In line with its commitment to environmental awareness and community engagement, the SMC-College of Hospitality and Tourism Management conducted an environmental outreach at Tinago Falls on September 1, 2025, in Buru-un, Iligan City. The activity promoted environmental preservation, safety, and responsible tourism practices. Participants included the SMC-MICSR Head, CHTM faculty and students, City Tourism personnel, PNP Station 2 officers, and Tinago Falls employees, working together to enhance awareness on the importance of maintaining natural attractions for current and future generations. This outreach supports key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by promoting safe and sustainable tourism, SDG 13: Climate Action through environmental conservation, and SDG 15: Life on Land by advocating for the protection of local ecosystems. Initiatives like this exemplify SMCโs commitment to nurturing socially responsible individuals who actively contribute to environmental stewardship and community well-being.
