On September 9, 2018, through the program Karunungan at Kasanayan para sa Kabataan, St. Michael’s College, in partnership with the CSWD of Iligan City, conducted another meaningful formation session for childcare teacher-volunteers. During this gathering, S. Ma. Fatima Manzano, RVM, shared the inspiring life story of Mother Ignacia del Espíritu Santo, the Foundress of the Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM) Congregation.
Sister Fatima highlighted Mother Ignacia’s unwavering faith, courage, and dedication to service—values that continue to guide the mission of the RVM community today. Through her storytelling, the childcare teachers gained a deeper appreciation of the Ignacian-Marian spirituality and its relevance to their vocation as educators. The session served not only as a source of inspiration but also as an affirmation of the vital role teachers play in nurturing the hearts and minds of young children.
This activity strengthened the partnership’s goal of developing empowered, value-rooted educators who contribute meaningfully to the holistic formation of the youth in Iligan City.
